Another user has posted today an idea for the ability to make parameter settings when using Export Audio in a Macro. Among other things this should enable yo to set the Export rang (to Selected Audio).
See this Forum post:
Why is it that the Export widget in macros isn’t configurable with sensibly the same choices as a regular Export where one would be able to set export path and file formal before each batch job??
I don’t know if this idea is technically feasible but I have added it to my recent GitHub post:

regression
minor feature
### Your idea
Add an "Export Selected Audio" to the Extra>Export menu:

This will enable users who used to be able to have a shortcut to this to aid their workflow.
Note that this was possible in earlier versions of Audacity before the new Export dialog was introduced in 3.4 as there was an explicit **File > Export > Export Selected Audio** command.
I can understand why the designers do not want to clutter the File menu/submenus - hence the suggestion to place it out of the way in **Extra > Export**
### Problem to be solved
With 3.4 ad onwards there is no way of setting a shortcut fir export selected audio. It appears that VO (voiceover) users seem to value this highly.

### Prior art

### Additional context
Technically this is a regression as although export of selected audio is still available via the new export dialog, the user can no longer set a direct shortcut for Export Selected Audio.
