On the topic of macros again

Why is it that the Export widget in macros isn’t configurable with sensibly the same choices as a regular Export where one would be able to set export path and file formal before each batch job??

If you want to raise an enhancement request for this then the best place is Muse’s issues log:

You will need a GitHub account for this, but those are free.

I am minded to agree with you - and one upside of this is that users should be able to choose also the export range. Thus those that want a macro for Export Selected Audio would be able to achieve this.

I have added an outline this idea to the GitHub issue I raised earlier as that would provide an alternative (and maybe better) solution to that issue(see my second comment in that thread):

Add an "Export Selected Audio" to the Extra>Export menu

Here is one way that could happen;
