I wanted to post this here but it wouldn’t let me.
I’ve been suing Analyze>Label Sounds a lot lately to make 2 label tracks:
with the label type “region between sounds” and
the other with “region around sounds”
I just noticed that if Tracks>Keep Tracks Synchronized (sync-lock) is active, it will not add a second label track. After reading the above thread I could see there was confusion over Labels Tracks working sometimes and not working at others, so I thought this might be helpful to mention.
Here is a screen recording in which:
I make the 2 labels tracks mentioned above with sync-lock inactive
the 2 label tracks are deleted and sync-lock is activated
So it does - and that looks like a bug to me, I will log it on Muse’s GitHub issues log.
The worst is that it fails silently, without any error message.
Meanwhile here is a workaround for you:
make your first labeling with Analyze > Label Sounds
move the resultant label track above the track(s) you wish to analyze (this removes the track(s) from the Sync-Locked Track Group as these are defined by label tracks).
make your second, different, labeling with Analyze > Label Sounds
You can then move the label tracks around if you need or want to.
