There is a 2-YO topic “In v3.4, how to set tempo without changing the recording?” and a rather fresh one “How to change tempo to the one of an existing recording without affecting it” which I bumped in googling the same question. They are closed though solutions are quite inappropriate in my humble opinion. I even can’t say the later one has any solution at all.
After several re-imports of audio and changing the tempo as one of the answers suggested, I just noticed this:
Resetting the value to 100% does what I need. It seems to be not the most convenient way of finding out the tempo of a media but better than re-importing after every change. Locking it at 100% would be more preferrable, I think, though.
If I’m posting something obvious, please take in count I’m just several hours newbie to Audacity and sharing this to help others same like me.
