Audacity 3.4 crashes with .aup files

Continuing the discussion from Audacity 3.4 is out now!:

I have the same problem with .aup files as others on this thread. 3.4 crashes trying to open .aup files. Have reverted to 3.3.3. I have submitted the crash log through the apple dialog multiple times as I tried various “fixes”. Happy to help with the full crash report if the developers want it. Here’s the start:

Operating system: Mac OS X
13.6.1 22G313
CPU: amd64
family 6 model 158 stepping 13
16 CPUs

GPU: UNKNOWN

Crash reason: EXC_BAD_ACCESS / EXC_I386_GPFLT
Crash address: 0x10758a362

This is a known and logged bug and will be fixed for the upcoming 3.4.1 maintenance release.

Thanks. Appreciate the update. Audacity is a great audio tool and I’m glad to know that it will continue to be backward compatible with earlier projects.
