Wish quickly find and repair clicks and pops in LP waveforms

Been trying to remove many defects in old records using Audacity.
Seeking suggestions on the fastest way to navigate to the problem spots in the the waveform view, make a quick repair and then quickly find the next location to fix.
Is there an auto-locate pops effect?
Flaws too numerous to use a global effect like click removal or noise reduction, at least with default settings.

Suggestions please.

There is a load of information about digitizing LPs here; http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/sample_workflow_for_lp_digitization.html

Paul-L’s DeClicker plugin … Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech

I used to do this by hand like you (a very long and arduous task) until Koz steered me in the direction of Brian Davies’s ClickRepair. it costs a little around $40 I think but does come with a 14 day free trial. You can either run it manually but I ended up automating the process - but I did soften Brian’s default settings a little. It produced truly excellent results for me and I listen on fairly high-end, albeit antique, QUAD ESL-57 electrostatic speakers.
