Why is adding silence to the start of a song SO difficult to do now?!?

I finally caved and click the update button and what happened?!???
This used to be such a simple process of dropping the song in, hitting the generate button, exporting, and closing the app.

This used to be like 3 click process that I’ve done literally HUNDREDS of times in the past. WHY CAN’T I DO THIS ANYMORE???

Moderator note: I removed your unnecessary swearing. We work hard to keep this a nice family-friendly corner of the Internet.

The keyboard shortcut for putting the cursor to the start of the track is “J”.
(If your keyboard has a “home” key that may also do the trick).

Thanks for the info about that, but it still doesn’t change the fact that:

  • I couldn’t just intuitively click at the start of the song to get the playhead to the start
  • I couldn’t correctly scroll to the left by dragging the bar (it snapped back multiple times before recording, only once in the recording)
  • I couldn’t easily drag the song onto another track
  • I couldn’t drag the track over to the left because for whatever reason (because that also just kept snapping to it’s original position)
  • This whole process used to be extremely simple. Literally import the song, click generate, enter in the time, and then export it. That’s it.

What happened?

I suspect that you need to turn on again the setting for Editing a Clip can move other clips in Tracks Behaviors preferences.

This used to be “on” by default, but for some reason Muse changed this to be “off” by default.
