Why did audacity (audacity-linux-3.7.5-x64-22.04) install so that i can't read the print on the buttons since they are the same colors?

i installed audacity 22.04 on linux parrot 6.4 os, and the print on the buttons is the same color as the buttons! Same for menus, but when i hover over selections, it seems to highlight them into readability.

Was this on purpose? Does this happen to everyone installing this in similar situations? Can i easily send an email to the person responsible for this where the font color is the same as the background/paper color?

None of those are important…I’m just upset. The important question is how do i fix this? I looked in preferences and set theme to classic then light then dark and interestingly, the issue persisted in all situations.

Of course, it was on purpose - just to bother you.

Audacity 22.04? What is that? The latest version of Audacity is 3.7.5 - see their website at https://www.audacityteam.org

I have so far not read about similar problems with Lionux, so it may be y problem with your Linux distro.

I’ve installed Audacity 3.7.5 on several Linux distros and I have never seen the problem you describe.

It sounds to me like this issue: Why don't I have numbers on the axes of “Filter Curve EQ”?
