User preferences for mp3 export

Is there a way to set a user preference in Audacity (currently using Audacity 3.7.3 on windows) so that users can default their export options for MP3 so that constant bit rate mode is the default and rather than quality is set to 192mbps

Audacity should remember your last-used settings and use those next time you export.

Does this not happen?

Ah, thank you for the reply. It’s a bit of a strange setup where Audacity is used here (a community radio station) it might be that the user cache is being cleared and losing the setting.

@sharpred Hi Paul, interesting - thanks for that feedback.

I, too, have an unusual use-case as I do a lot of QA testing and regression testing. This involves constant resetting of my my Audacity’s settings to OOTB factory settings - so I’m always “losing” settings that I use …
