Hi I just registered to report that, I’m an occasional user but I remember to have done this not so much ago when I exported a bunch of audios and converted to AMR from the drop down menu , however AMR is no more there as a selectable option but I can actually import an AMR file just fine. I tried reinstalling both Audacity and the ffmpeg with no result.
I’m using Audacity 3.2.5 on Windows 10.
Any help please, is there something missing in the ffmpeg plugin? an update ditching the amr file format?
Testing on W10 shows that 3.2.1 was the last Audacity version to have export to AMR format.
I don’t know if this was intentional or just a mistake - I will try to find some time to log this as a bug on Muse’s GitHub.
Thank you very much sir. I’ll install that version.
Looged on Github as
AMR export is no longer available #4446

Question @ar17g1 - Why are you using AMR in the first place?
@ar17g1 The installer for FFmpeg no longer does AMR, but you can use a different FFmpeg build (eg this one: https://www.gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/packages/ffmpeg-5.1.2-full_build-shared.7z ). You’ll need to manually point Audacity to use that version of FFmpeg, instructions on that can be found here: Installing FFmpeg - Audacity Support
