I’ll get right to the point. The three suggestions are:
- In the select dropdown menu, let’s have “Invert” added, so that any current selection can be inverted.
- When you make a selection, all effects are added to your selection. This is a bold suggestion. I would like to be able to feather the edges of a selection, so that all effects you apply, are feathered on the edges, tailing off on the left and/or right of the selection.
- I’m sure many people have changed the resolution of their Windows, like I have. The problem is, in Audacity, when you hover over the tracks, the caret cursor (the one that looks like an uppercase Ɪ) is tiny and very hard to see (regardless of changing the Audacity color theme). So, the request is to give an option to control the size of the cursors. Because, no matter how much I change the cursor sizes in Windows, the audacity caret cursor is unaffected.
File > Recent Files already will open recent projects as well as audio files

Aside
You never really “open” audio files in Audacity at all by the way (despite there being a command that appears to do that). What Audacity does is an open of a project and then a hidden import of the audio file.
Peter.
That seems like a sensible Enhancement request to me - but you really need to make such requests on Muse’s GitHub issues tracker:
You would need a GitHub account to do that, but those are free.

I had a black haired moment. Thank you, I’ve edited the post accordingly.
(Although it still may be something to consider, because when you open many tracks, the recent projects get pushed out of the list), so maybe a separate option for “Open Recent Projects”.
I seem to recall some discussions along these lines a while back, but it wasn’t considered worthwhile enough, so nothing ever came of it.
