hi, i have just downloaded audacity and i’m using mac pro. As you can see, the menu bar is not showing. I have tried to reinstall it but still get the same result.
Would really appreciate your help
Is this a new install or an upgrade?
new install because i had to change laptop. Didn’t have any issues before with windows but now that I am using mac, i’m not sure whats happening

Indeedy - it’s a Mac “thing” (for all apps, not just Audacity) …
On Windows the menu bar is attached at the top of the app window

didn’t know about that! Just bought my mac recently thats why

It can take a little getting used to.
When you use an application, The Whole World turns into that application.
You can switch applications easily with the menu bar on the bottom of the screen.
And you can make that menu bar pop up and down with the cursor, so it’s out of the way when you don’t need it.
I became a Mac convert the first time I needed to manage network and internet services and I didn’t need perscription pain killers to do it.
That gray background is intentional.
