Just bought a new laptop with Win 11. Can’t find any instructions how to set up Audacity for this. Main use for this laptop is to record my vinyl and convert to MP3. I will be using a USB turntable . So far no luck. It’s probably me, but I sure do need help. Thanks.
Did you select the USB device as your Recording Device?
Thanks for the links DVDdoug, will be working my through these tomorrow (Sun.), and will let you know how I manage.
I have exactly the same problem. Windows 11 won’t recognize the USB recording device I use (Behringer U- Phono UFO202) which worked fine with my older laptop with Windows 10. I don’t think we are the only ones with this problem based on what I have seen in other forums. I have yet to discover a work around for this problem.
Please let me know if you find a solution. I also have the same problem if trying with Win 10 on my other computer. So far no luck, and all I want to do is digitze my vinyl for ease and convenience.
Same here, that’s all I want to do as well. Will let you know if I find the solution.
After a very frustrating week trying to get Audacity to work on Win11, I have finally given up. Good news though, is that I have now got it working on Win 10 on my old computer. Have been putting it through many trials today, and am confident that we are good on 10.
Have consulted several “geeks” this last week, and even they are baffled as to why it won’t work on 11. They offered me a lot of advice, but nothing worked.
Hope this helps people who are still trying to get 11 to work - end result, as far as I am concerned, is, don’t bother. Good luck.
3.4.2 and the latest alpha test build for 3.5.0 both run absolutely fine on my W11P PCand my W10 PC
Peter.
