Hello, i want to play backwards an audio on Audacity, but i dont want to invert the audio, i dont want the end at the beginning, just to play it backwards, is any way to do that?
You can use scrubbing to do that - click at the right of the audio track and move the cursor to the left.
See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/scrubbing_and_seeking.html

That does not work at all, i have to use the mouse to play anything backwards, it should play by itself, i wonder why they did not include such a simple yet useful effect?
Not only that does not work but is really uncomfortable to use
I (We at Audacity) know it’s “uncomfortable” and awkward to use - but I can assure you it does work, I tested thoroughly before I posted my previous reply.
Did you turn on the Scrub Ruler (right-click in the Timeline and turn it on) - that makes it a little easier to use.

Why don’t you want to reverse the audio? That would seem the simplest and easiest way to make it play backwards (Effect menu > Reverse). What are you actually doing that warrants playing backwards without reversing the audio?
i dont want the end at the beginning, just to play it backwards,
Sorry, what? …If you play it backwards you’ll hear the end at the beginning?
