Rescan audio devices not working

I use a headset for Recording device.
If I start Audacity with the headset off, then start the headset and click on Audio Setup > Rescan audio devices, Audacity 4 won’t see the headset. I have to restart the app.
Audacity 3.4.7 does refresh the audio devices.

I can reproduce this on W11 with the latest nightly for AU4.
