Replace a phrase in the middle of a long record

Hello,
I am recording a long check list so as to transfer it to my phone and learn it by heart. some items I haven’t pronounced well enough and I was wondering if I could ‘replace’ them by recording a better pronounced phrase, assuming it has ~ same duration, A bit as if you wanted to replace a phrase by another one in a book you are writing.
