So here’s the thing:
The selection tool used to be able to be moved as a single point without dragging the selection itself (i.e. how Wavosaur does it), and now I can’t drag to a specific point in an audio track w/o having to resort to using a keyboard

I moved versions, reinstalled the app, even deleted all of my settings plus a system reboot and it did nothing, literally nothing.
It’s a dealbreaker now.

Drag handles were introduced in Audacity 3.1.0 …

In Audacity click&drag in the waveform creates or changes the selection, this has always been the case in Audacity from 1.0 onwards.

To change the point section move the cursor (the I-beam) to the required position and left-click.
