I received this message:
A couple of things:
-
Thanks for thinking of me.
-
I don’t respond to Private Messages unless it has first been initiated in public.
-
I don’t respond well to requests that have a time crunch associated. I have been out of town all day and just got your message and I have other things in my life that need my attention tonight. Just accept the podcast that was scheduled for release this evening probably will not meet its schedule.

If your database keeps getting clobbered, perhaps there is something in your machine that is contributing to the issue. It just might be worth the time to investigate why.
-
I don’t rebuild these databases anymore. The developers have, well, developed some new tools that are better than the ones I had created myself. These new tools are available for anyone to use. Here are instructions on how to do this yourself: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/corrupt-or-otherwise-broken-audacity-project-recovery/64162/1

Unfortunately, these tools do not currently run on MacOS. Since you are Mac user, I am going to assume for the sake of this discussion that you do not have access to a Windows machine, or know somebody with a Windows machine that can help you, so I’ll take a look at your file to see what I can do.

I do this as a hobby. I am a volunteer and I do not get paid by anyone. If I started getting paid for this it would feel too much like work and I would probably stop it in a heartbeat.
