For some reason this morning while attempting to record an audio job the program would not work. I followed all of the troubleshooting steps, rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled. Still nothing. I use this as a backup for court reporting and depend on it quite a bit. I am sad to see there is no one to call so I’m reaching out here. Thank you i advance for any help anyone can provide.
Please tell us what hardware you have and how you are connected.
…If this is a back-up of a digital recording, you shouldn’t have to re-record it (unless it’s encrypted or copy-protected for legal reasons).
I guess it was working before? Are you on Windows? Sometimes updates foul things up.
Thank you so much for your quick reply! No it’s not a backup of something already recorded. I have a splitter with a male and a female end plugged into a tablet with an auxiliary cord plugged into a tape recorder and the other end plugged into a sound card that feeds into my computer. The tablet is running Zoom. So that recording serves as a fail-proof backup if my software goes south on me in the middle of the job.
Everything was fine the last time I used it which I think might have been Friday. I am running Windows 10. When I reinstalled I had to go with that muse whatever it is. Having things running in the background can mess up my court reporting software so I’m going to have to investigate that as well.
Right now I just need to be sure I have the recording option working again. I have a job in the morning so just trying to troubleshoot everything I can this evening if possible.
