Please can you help me? Two newbie questions

I’m new to this and decided to use Audacity because it seems easy and is a pretty light software.

First question is, How do I load several .mp3 files in a single track without using the Mix and Render option?
Because I want to make all my music seamless which it can be easily achieved with Crossfade Clip, using it around 5 seconds to fade out/in in every music and if I use Mix and Render the musics will be merged and it will be without crossfade making the first song end “abruptly”.

Check this gif I made of how I want to import the .mp3 files. I have several files and doing it manually would take so much time.

Second question: Is it possible to automatically use the Crossfade Clip about 5 seconds (no need to be 5secs can be more or less) on the ending and starting of the musics?
its for the same reason as the first question, I have several musics and I’m trying to avoid doing it manually.
Crossfade Clip is way better for what I’m trying to do than the Crossfade Tracks which it still makes the music ends abruptly.

align end to end will concatenate the tracks in Audacity.

If you use spectrum view it’s easier to beatmatch

Hi Victor,
I wouldn’t use Audacity to do what you want to do. Trebor’s link to MIxxx reminded me that Mixxx is a better option. I wrote a post for someone on how to do it. The link is here: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/put-together-a-playlist-with-silence/133564/11?u=evilmrb. If you want more details send me a private message.

THank you so much for asnwer. I know about Align End to End but it still align in separated track not on the same track like I showed on the gif.
I will take a look on Mixxx

Thank you so much, I will check it right away.

After align end to end, select all, then Mix and render, then they are all on the same track.

Yes I know about that too but since there is no crossfade the songs will still ends abruptly that’s why I asked if there is another way. But thank you so much, Mixxx will do the job
