Playback Issue after upgrading to Mac OSX 10.9.4 [SOLVED]

Upgraded to Mac OS X 10.9.4 today. Launched Audacity (2.0.3) and am now having very choppy results when doing basic recording. Never had any issue with playback on Audacity file prior to this. I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 connected to my Mac which connects my sE microphone and Shure SRH440 headset. Just doing voice recording. Do I need to re-install any drivers for Audacity?

Thanks for any hints you can provide. Need to get this working as soon as possible.

Went to Focusrite site and found an article about the problem I described in my previous question regarding disrupted output after upgrading to Mac OS X Mavericks. They are investigating the issue and provided a temporary work-around on their site. Sorry to bother you.
