The X shortcut does not do what it’s meant to do: the cursor does not set at the point where the playback stopped, instead, it goes to the beginning of the audio clip, which is very annoying.
I might consider to go back to 3.1.3 version, for a while.
Testing on W10 with 3.2.1 the “X” shortcut works for me.
a) If I have a point selection and play from there when I press “X” the cursor stays at the current Play position
b) if I have a selection to be played when I press “X” the selection is shortened to be from the current Play position to the end of the selection. But note that the cursor position changes to the stopped current play position (look at the Time toolbar).
c) If I have no selection and play from T=0 then when I press “X” the cursor stays at the current Play position
Whether or not the selection should be curtailed as in b) above is a moot point I can’t help thinking …
