After a long pause I took my H2n (batteries at least 2/3rd full) and made a recording.
When loading the WAV into Audacity, I noticed a strange beginning of the recording (M/S) like this:
Looks like some DC offset combined with lack of amplification. Is this a known effect?

Do you know what’s causing it? Considering that the monitoring level is being displayed before the actual recording starts, I guess the mics and amplifiers are fully powered already when the recording begins. – However, could it be that the device immediately started recording after powering on? I must admit I cannot remember, because I took several short clips that day.
