Good day! I have a big problem: I have finished and saved my project and the song is just under 3 minutes. But for reasons I don’t understand the length of each track is more than 10 hours! Now when I want to export my recording I get an mp3 file of more than 1 GB, and exporting into wav or flac is not possible at all, because the file size would be too big. What can I do to change the track length to 3 minutes (for every track)?
Select the audio you want to keep, then trim, (“Ctrl”+“T”).
I have tried that and it does not work. The time line stays at 10:30 hours
That your minutes of audio is perceived by Audacity to be hours long, could be the fault of automatic tempo detection
I have Audacity 2.3.2, and I could not find any option “Do nothing” in the Preferences
The “tempo detection” feature was introduced in Audacity 3.5.0
Thank you guys. I solved the problem already by opening a new project and copying every separate track to the new project.
I installed Audacity 3.7.3 now, hehehe
