I can't find the chains library!

Hi folks,

I’m running OS Mojave on mac. I’ve been asked to send a chain file on to a friend but I can’t find where it might be saved. To make clear - I’ve never used a chain before and I’m just learning about them. I searched in my mac’s Terminal for ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/ but the result says there’s no such file or directory. Is there somewhere I can find it or someway of saving it out from Audacity itself?

Thanks

Depending on which Audacity you have, chains is now called "Macros"

I’ve never used either one, but can’t you Drag-Select the programming and copy - paste to a text file? Desperation method is screen capture and send it as a picture. Shift-Command-3 the whole screen or Shift-Command-4 and drag a fence around the work.

To get to the audacity settings folder, follow steps 1 through 4 in this post: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/resetting-audacity/50613/1
