I’ve been using Audacity 3.0.2 for a while now and I made the switch to v3.2.4 recently. After using it for a while, I noticed that the Loop Play (Ctrl+Space) feature has been removed. As much as I like the adjustable Loop Selection feature, I still find it annoying how the loop selection doesn’t automatically set to the audio I selected. I don’t like how I have to “Set Loop to Selection” every time I want to loop a different part of the audio.
Right now, the best thing I’ve come up with is a macro with a key bind that toggles loop, sets loop to selection, then plays the selected audio. The problem with this approach is that it turns off loop whenever it is enabled. This approach also leaves loop on whenever I don’t want to loop.
Is there a way to add an “Enable Loop” command in the macro? A way to automatically set loop selection to the highlighted audio? A way to bring back Loop Play to v3.2.4?
