Envelope Editor Functionality Question with 3.6

Hello!

I’m not sure if this is a bug or an intended feature, but I’d like to address the new UI elements for the envelope editor in 3.6.

When I’m editing and adjusting effects in a show, volume of the key talent, etc. being able to visually see where the mix is in the main timeline is a key feature that other DAW’s I work with will show either as an option or default.

In the example below, you can see that in 3.6.1, there is no visual change. To add insult to injury, the envelope indicator is the same color as the waveform, so seeing where the volume is is extremely difficult (to say nothing of users with color blindness issues).

I have spent some time digging through the settings and could not locate anything related to the envelope editor’s behaviors. Am I missing something? If not, I would love to have the option of visual representation for envelope edits reintroduced or at least make the indicator a different color than the waveform.

Probably this bug that has already been fixed for the upcoming 3.6.2

I understand your frustration. It would be great to have clearer visual indicators for envelope edits. Hopefully, the team will consider adding this feature or improving visibility for better user experience. Thanks for bringing this up!

I can see why this would be frustrating. Having more distinct visual indicators for envelope edits would definitely enhance the user experience. Hopefully, the team will consider this for future updates to improve visibility. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!
