Combining clips into one file/song

I recently upgraded our church machine (Windows) to 3.7.0. I am trying to get music set up for our Christmas program. We have accompaniment tracks but for some reason the tracks are slpit up into sections and I cannot get them to record each song as a whole, all of the music programs are splitting them into individual tracks. I can import them into Audacity but they “stack” in the file. When I copy/paste them end-to-end there are gaps that I want to eliminate but I’m having trouble getting a smooth transition. Is there a way to select the gaps and end up with a smooth transition?

What yo can do is:

  1. Import them into the project (they will, as you say be stacked)
  2. Select All - Ctrl+A (or Cmd+A on Mac)
  3. Tracks > Align Tracks > Align End to End
  4. Tracks > Mix > Mix and Render

Thank you! I knew there had to be a way! That worked perfectly!

Glad that sorted it for you.

As me ol’ mum used to say: “It’s only easy when you know how…”
