I reinstalled Windows 7 32-bit the other day and just got the latest version of Audacity being 2.3.1 and I noticed something I’ve never seen before. There’s now some blank space at the end of the song and it wasn’t there before at all before the other day as all tracks I get stop right at the end with no space past it. This is consistent with several songs I’ve opened and I attached something to show you what I meant.
Isn’t 2.3.1 64 bit? They warn us many of the plugins and associated software have to be installed new with 2.3.1.
OK, maybe it doesn’t matter in Windows 7…??
That is odd. Does Audacity try to play that blank segment? Do you get an error message if you try? If you export a sound file, does that file have the blank portion?
It’s very suspicious that the flat line (zero sound data) is missing.

On Linux, Audacity may be 32-bit or 64-bit, depending on whether it is built on a 32-bit or 64-bit system.
