Audio clips disappear

I opened a project to find that some clips disappeared.

• Using v3.7.3
• No error messages
• The clips were all the same. That is, I created a clip of a few measures of drums, then made copies to create part of a track.
• Other clips in the same drum track were OK and clips in other tracks are OK.
• Happened once, recreated the missing clips, all was well until next day it happened again.

Any idea why this would happen?

I would offer to take a look but I don’t know how I’d be able to tell whether the clips were missing or not. Is there an easy way to tell?

Thanks for your reply.
I attached before/after screen shots.
I am able to recreate this easily…If I save the project, exit, then re-open the project the clips are gone.
Again, the missing clips are all the same (copied); the ones that remain are unique/distinct.
Any suggestions appreciated as this is a killer bug
