Good day, friends,
As I’ve noticed this problem is frequent, I too have experienced the dreaded problem. This is the second time this has happened to me in a matter of a few weeks, and I’m really unclear what the issue is. The file is saved to my E: drive, which is my external hard drive. As I’ve come to understand, audacity doesn’t typically like external hard drive.
Here is the error message received while trying to export this Audacity file to MP3:

My questions are:
- How would you all recommend I fix this? I’ve tried several different tactics, including workings with the current files and moving/undoing files, saving it to different locations and trying to export it, etc. to no avail.
- What is a recommended system for working with an external hard drive in conjunction with Audacity?
Thank you for your time and your help.
Cheers.
