Doing a project where I’m muxing commentary tracks onto the audio for movies. Everything is fine until the last step of actually exporting. The first one I did was a stereo output, and it crashed immediately trying to export to AC3 and AAC, but I finally got it to work on OGG and WAV. Thought I was in the clear when as a hunch I reinstalled ffmpeg and the same project exported AAC just fine.
Spoiler: I was not fine. Went to my next project, this time a 6 channel output, and every single format I tried crashed, except for WAV…because Audacity blocked that due to the 4GB file limit. Tried with just a <30s snippet of the project, still crashing left, right and center (even with WAV). I’m at a loss as to what the hell’s going on.
Program info:
Audacity 3.6.0
Program build date: Jul 16 2024
Commit Id: 6209ad of Tue Jul 16 17:28:33 2024 +0200
Build type: CMake Release build (debug level 1), 64 bits
Compiler: MSVC 19.40.33812.00
Pastebin of the crash report, since uploading that was yet another thing that failed: https://pastebin.com/WxarzYNv
And speaking of things I can’t seem to do, I can’t share the test project because for some goddamn reason the project file is, for 30 seconds of 6 channel audio, 8GB large.
