Audacity crashes at startup

My setup:

My distro is Arch Linux. My Kernel is Linux 6.11.4-arch1-1 (so, the latest as of the time of writing this).

I’m using KDE Plasma 6.2.1 Wayland session

I’m using pipewire 1.2.5

My system is pretty typical, but I do have zram enabled. I used zram-genrator to enable zram and followed the Optimizing swap on zram section of the Arch Wiki as well. I don’t think that has anything to do with the issue, but I’ll just put it out there just in case.

The problem:

Whenever I run audacity from either the applications menu or the terminal a menu pops up with the title Debug report “Audacity”.

The default application menu entry (.desktop file) seem to have these environment variables: GDK_BACKEND=x11 UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0. I thought maybe that has something to do with it, so I ran it from the terminal, same thing.

I can’t seem to upload .zip files here, but here is the contents of the folder that has the same name as the generated zip file in /tmp (/tmp/audacity-dbgrpt-bunchLetterandnumbers):

audacity.cfg (5.8 KB)
log.txt (117 Bytes)
pluginregistry.cfg (40.6 KB)
pluginsettings.cfg (26 Bytes)

Did you check other posts for answers?

Yes. This one from someone running Linux, and Another one from someone running Windows. They don’t seem to have the same issue as me I think. Also those posts are pretty old. But regardless I still did want to try renaming

/usr/lib/dssi/amsynth_dssi.so

to

/usr/lib/dssi/amsynth_dssi.so.bak

Just like it’s mentioned here. But on my system there isn’t even a folder called dssi in /usr/lib. So i can’t do that.
