Audacity 4 beta-2 and greyed-out menu items

Just a note to those who might be testing Audacity 4 beta-2. Don’t bother reporting the permanently grey-out menu items. The devs are aware, and the features behind those menu items have not been implemented yet.

For example, in the Select > Audio Clips submenu, all items are disabled. Similarly Tracks > Mix down to is disabled.

Perhaps somewhat related to this … is it safe to assume that options that aren’t there now, like “export separate tracks”, will there when the final version is released?

I wouldn’t want to speculate. I’m not a developer (obviously), and I’m not in touch with the developers.

I would say no, that is not the case.

Because looking at the Muse GitHub Issues log and Pull Requests log Muse are busy removing several of those grayed-out items temporarily up until they eventually get implemented and released.

Either that, or the option will be removed.

For exporting multiple tracks I can tell you that the design exists
