Hi all! Quick question. I’m trying to import a fairly hefty batch of keyboard shortcuts from 2.4.1 to 3.2.3 and it says “[number] shortcuts successfully imported.”
It doesn’t appear that they, in fact, were successfully imported. I have no shortcuts. I’d rather NOT have to write them all down and put them back in, but I can if I have to. Has the XML file’s syntax changed?
Cheers!
I tested this on W1- with 3.2.3 and the latest stable release 3.2.4 and I cannot reproduce this.
- I ran 2.4.1 made several new custom shortcuts (mainly on the initial window of the dialog for clear visibility)
- Export the shortcuts to an XML file
- close Audacity
- purge the audacity settings folder to revert to factory settings
- run 3.2.3 or 3.2.4
- Edit > Preferences > Keyboard
- Observe: just the default Standard shortcuts
- Import the XML file of shortcuts
- Observe: all my new shortcuts are there along with all the Standard default shortcuts
One oddity is that the the shortcut I assigned to Save Lossless Copy of Project in 2.4.1 showed up as assigned to Backup Project in 3.2.3/3.2.4. But remember that since 2.4.1 the save commands were reorganized when we changed to the Unitary AUP3 database project structure in 3.0.0
