It surprises me the fact that Audacity doesn’t have a vertical zoom to enlarge the waveforms within the tracks, vertically, only horizontally. Having the possibility to increase the height of a waveform in a track enhances the image of peaks and zero-crossings of the waveform. which in turn, allow for a more precise fine adjustment on them. Maybe that already exists somehow and I’m not aware of it. Please enlighten me if that is the case.
It does have vertical zooming - managed via the Vertical Scale.

Admittedly this is less “discoverable” than the horizontal zooming, but once you know how to do it then it;s simple.
