Yamaha YPG-625 Keyboard input does not detect...

I have a Rocksmith guitar input that detects and records just fine in Audacity 2.0.5 on a windows 7 HP laptop. When I plug in a Yamaha YPG-625, and load the USB driver, the item detects in my O/S but when I try to select it as the input to Audacity, I don’t see it like i see the Rocksmith input. The Yamaha YPG-625 is not supported anymore, but it seems like the driver loaded just fine. Not sure if there are other “tricks” I could try.

Is the USB output of the keyboard MIDI? If so Audacity won’t see it. Please have a look at http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#keyboards .

Thanks. I did not realize that there was a difference. I am learning a lot about this recording stuff!
