Are you able to click through the error and get Audacity to launch?

If so, please try this:

  1. Set up the “audacity.cfg.txt” as your audacity.cfg file
  2. Launch Audacity and click through the error screen(s) until Audacity launches.
  3. “View menu > Toolbars > Reset Toolbars”
  4. Close Audacity
  5. Restart Audacity

At step 5, does Audacity launch without error?

FYI. After seeing the comments about the .cfg file, I tried removing the file and then restarting Audacity. Voila! Audacity recreates the .cfg file and everything works normally.
