Does anyone know how to achieve an “underwater” sound? I’m also wondering about how to achieve vocal effects such as distortion. I haven’t been able to find any advice on specific effects like this, any advice would be appreciated.
You can achieve some underwater type sounds using a “chorus” effect on fairly extreme settings - you may also want to use the Equalizer effect in conjunction with this. There are several chorus and distortion effects available as LADSPA and Nyquist plug-ins. Look in the Audacity wiki (link at top of page) for “plug ins”.
