Is audacity compatible with windows 11 pcs? I cannot get the proper codecs with the latest version of audacity?

To my knowledge, Audacity does not require any CODECs to work.
I must not be understanding your question. Please give an example of what you are trying to do.
I was just trying to get sound to audacity to digitize my reel to reel tapes and could not get any audio
I am able to use audacity with no problem in windows 10 - however could get nothing to work in windows 11. I think I had it set up correctly as I have used audacity for many years. But not with this acer windows 11 laptop. Any ideas!
The troubleshooting guide is here. The only thing it doesn’t mention that might be relevant to your situation is giving Audacity permission to record.
Hello. I just purchased a new Dell latitude laptop and I am able to get audacity to record. The only issue I have is that i am unable to monitor while recording. I just get silence even though the meters are moving. I have attempted everything to get sound, but no luck thus far. Any suggestions? I appreciate whatever you can tell me.
