I bought a new microphone, which includes a USB adapter.
The computer seems to recognize that the microphone is there. At least, the microphone drop-down menu has “USB PnP Sound Device”.
But when I press record, it doesn’t pick up any sound.
Hmm… you could try changing your MME/DirectSound/WASAPI host.
