Win 10+Aud 2.4.2 FFMPEG Library Not Found

I used the FFMPEG installer and I later tried the Zip installer version. Audacity won’t open my multi audio track MP4 video, prompts me to install the FFMPEG library that I already installed. I can locate the folder after clicking on BROWSE and searching for it in PROGRAM FILES x86, but Audacity sees nothing in those folders. Please help.

Are you running the latest version of Audacity (2.4.2)?

When you go to Libraries do you see “F(55.33.100)…”?

I can locate the folder after clicking on BROWSE and searching for it in PROGRAM FILES x86,

You should have a folder named Ffmpeg For Audacity and in that folder you should have several files including avcodec-55.dll. Or, maybe search your hard drive for avcodec-55.dll to see if it’s installed somewhere else.

If you don’t have that folder or if the folder is empty it didn’t get installed. Try running ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe to install it again.
