Thanks but i have indicated the mic model and it is of course on the right channel. Like i have said before. I get sound, I get light meters movement and I end up with a recording if I play it back. All that is missing is the Wave line when recording. I can get a very small wave line if the gain is at Maximum.
I suggest you set the mixer as default Windows recording device then use Windows Sound Recorder to make a test recording.
Then assuming you have the same problem you can prove to the Yamaha representative that the problem is nothing to do with the recording software.

Thanks for the help everyone. I returned the second Yamaha MG10XU and purchased a Mackie FX12PRO and it works great. It was obviously the Yamaha. I think they have a problem with their USB driver but their customer service SUCKS for sure!
