Considering people here have been talking about it for years, it’s very odd to me this still isn’t a feature. Changing the DPI setting doesn’t do it for me, nor will changing the size of my display because my display size is perfectly fine. The problem is the GUI is too small for me. I have a wide screen windows 11 laptop if that means anything. Compared to my smaller windows 10 laptop, the latter gave me a better experience.
This is way too small for me and it’s very jarring.
This is the preferred scaling I want for Audacity
Sorry I do not understand what is missing for you.
You can extend the width of a piece of music width the magnifying glass symbols on top of the waveform. I can see these symbols also on your screenshot.
You can increase/decrease the height of the waveform by grabbing the bottom line of the waveform.
Attached you’ll see the same about 8 seconds of a piece of music, once taking only half of my display width, once taking the whole width.
The top and bottom of the GUI is notably different in size, and that’s what I’m mostly talking about.
(I had to screenshot it like this because this site isn’t lettingme upload more than 1 embed image from being new…)
Guess we’re not getting an answer or workaround… Still gonna check this post anyway
Hello! Can you please try running MuseScore Studio? We’ll be using its UI framework for Audacity 4.0, so if that looks on your system, chances that Audacity 4.0 looks good on yours too are high.
It appears to look better compared to the GUI size of Audacity, but I think there should still be an option to change the size of the GUI. Also didn’t know you guys were the creators of this app
Muse Group bought Audacity a few years ago. They didn’t originally create Audacity, but they’ve done a lot of development to it since then.
