Will Audacity be updated when macOS 26.5.2 Intel apps are obsolete?

I hope Audacity will be updated when INTEL apps are obsolete in the future.

Audacity already supports Apple Silicon natively

Guess you can tell I am no programer. If I select the app and click Apple+I, Audacity reads as INTEL build, I was just curious as I know it works now on my 24” M4 iMac 10 core 16gbRAM, macOS Tahoe 26.5.2, but when Rosetta is gone in future, will it need an update or rebuild? Thanks for your reply.

No, it doesn’t - unless you use an outdated version:

It is entirely possible you’re running the Intel version and just need to download the ARM version from Audacity ® | Download for macOS

Hey Guys, thanks for the info, yes, I do need to update to Universal. I have 3.3.3 Intel installed. Thank you for your patience. I may not have received the update notice or ignored it, anyway I see its out there. Thanks very much.

I am guessing that the Google barrage I am presented is unnecessary on the macOS side, or am I wrong?
