Weird starting and ending figure on tracks

I use Audacity 3.5.1 inside two computers with Ubuntu Studio 22.04.4 LTS (64 bit Linux).

Since a while I’ve noted a weird figure at the beginning and ending of each track when I use the “wave shape” option.
You can see it on the image…

I don’t know if this is “normal” or is something I configured (by mistake) that way.

Any idea how to remove it from the interface? ???

You’ve (accidentally) clicked on the multi-tool (asterisk button)

Click in the i-beam button diagonally opposite it to return to normal.
