We need Audacity to grow into an alternative iTunes processing MP3's in Apple players

Processing MP3’s in iPhones and iPods isn’t a Linux feature yet… There seems to be a big block and taboo wall between Linux and Apple stuff, probably because Linux refuses to pay Apple for the service and features because Linux is based upon free, and Apple is based upon profit… Trying to get old Mac’s working with iTunes is a pain, the old iTunes downloads are all blocked and locked, and Apple forums aren’t helpful in the slightest… They are pushing the consumer to buy new equipment, which is hellishly expensive, and out of us poor peoples reach… How big of a project would it be to make Audacity process MP3 music in iPhones… Is there any future possibility that this might happen?.. But the hard part would be ‘acquiring links that reset Apple products via Audacity’… The stopper would be that Apple would probably demand big dollars for it… Does anyone have any data on this silliness?..

Sorry, but what do you mean “process”?

P.S.
I’m a Windows guy so I might not be that much help but there are Linux users here.

‘Process’: means the OS will recognize an iPhone that’s been plugged into the computer’s USB, and will bring up iTunes, and allow user to reset the iPhone, and to add Audacity edited music to it…

I just stumbled upon a thingawhoozits that might run iTunes in Linux Mint…

I downloaded and installed it, and downloaded iTunes, but I can’t figure what to do next to get iTunes working in this confusing mess with this ‘Bottles’ thing if it actually works…?
