Hi, I hope someone can help me! I’m using Audacity 3.7.8 on a Mac Mini M4, Tahoe 26.5.1. I’ve used previous versions of Audacity for many years, on older Macs. I also have a number of plug-ins. I just renewed my license for some WAVES plug-ins, the PuigChild and AbbeyRoad filters/effects. They don’t work right in Audacity (which Waves does not consider a tested host). I have been in touch with the kind folks at Waves, and reinstalled their plug-ins (as suggested) and even installed Reaper to see if the plug-ins work on my machine and system, and they do in Reaper.
But in Audacity, I cannot select the individual settings. The plug-in interface screen opens, the pull-down menu opens, but I cannot scroll and I cannot select a setting to apply. A click of my trackball or mouse on a setting does not register—the computer gives an error beep. For some reason, the plug-in, under Audacity, doesn’t read the mouse click. I can’t activate that setting by clicking return/enter either. (Of course, a track passage has been selected to apply the effect to.) My other plug-ins work just fine.
These Abbey Road effects are very useful to me. Can someone offer advice—or a fix? Thank you!
