We don’t make “audacition” - if you are using that you will need to ask technical support for that software.
Audacity 2.1.0 does now support Waves (and other “shell” effects where one DLL or DYLIB file loads multiple effects).
Waves VST DeBreath was explicitly tested on Mac and Windows in Audacity before 2.1.0 release. I used it myself on Windows to debreath some audio. So I suspect you are not using DeBreath correctly.

If Waves support consider that their plugins are not working correctly in Audacity 2.1.0 then of course if you give us step-by-step instructions to reproduce the problem we will look into it.
