Subject: Wave Stats VST3: Detailed Analysis for ACX Compliance Using WaveParse
With the addition of Wave Stats, the core functionality of the WaveParse plugin suite is now complete as originally envisioned. The WaveParse plugins permit ACX compliance through a precise, gain-only workflow. Wave Stats helps getting the corrections right the first time, though the vst3 plugins run so fast that iteration is not a burden (typical per-tool time is 5 to 8 seconds for 26-minute test track).
Wave Stats is a diagnostic tool that provides a granular look at a track by analyzing the Floor, Mid (body), and Peaks independently. It reports:
• Whole-track RMS (matching Audacity’s ‘Measure RMS’).
• Isolated RMS for Floor, Mid, and Peak for the whole track and for each segment.
• A detailed 1-dB-increment distribution of positive and negative peaks.
• And more.
The plugin generates CSV reports in the Scratch subfolder for analysis in Excel. As shown in the attached graphic, this forensic approach can identify hardware issues like thermal noise drift and waveform asymmetry that standard tools often miss.
The complete suite is available now by email request to info@waveparse.com for the download link. The website even now contains a good description of the plug-ins, and will become an online manual. For technical inquiries or assistance, please send to support.
